Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to
make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them
the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Vision

The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to
become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the
Scout Oath and Law.

 

Strategic planning is the process of reviewing

  • Where an organization has been
  • What an organization intends to be in the future
    • Strategic planning is finding the best future for the Boy Scouts of America and the best path to reach that destination.
    • It can help in extending the legacy Scouting and your council want to leave. You can’t always prepare the future for our youth, but you can help prepare the youth for their future. Strategic planning plays an important part in guiding our way.
  • How it will get there
    •  Strategic planning is the formal consideration of the councils' future course.  Please see the current strategic plans for each of the councils below.
