Fishing Derby

Do you love to fish? Will you be the Laurel Highlands Council’s 2016 Big Fish Champion? Spend a day on Lake Courage, Hopocan Pond, or Yellow Creek Lake and see if you can catch the biggest bass! We have several prize categories including Most Fish, Largest Fish, and Most Poundage.  There are three tournament groups—so you are competing against your age group, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers.  With miles of shoreline fishing there is room for everyone! Those with a current BSA swim test can rent our canoes or rowboats. Come join the fun.  The fishing competition runs from Saturday 6:30 am until 5:50 pm.
